华纳在线频道HBO Max宣布以10集首季预订《绯闻女孩 Gossip Girl》重启版，新版继续由原剧的制片兼编剧Joshua Safran负责。《绯闻女孩》改编自Cecily von Ziegesar的同名小说，这版本已经是网站「绯闻女孩」关站的8年后，新一代纽约私校学生将再次迎来「绯闻女孩」，但这次它将跟随潮流座落于社交媒体上。
CW的旧版《绯闻女孩》由Blake Lively﹑Leighton Meester﹑Penn Badgley﹑Chace Crawford 及Ed Westwick等人主演，共播了6季121集，此剧当时一度成为潮流文化象征。
